In Nigeria, very few medical services are free of charge, and if you can’t pay your hospital bill you may not be allowed to leave. What’s worse is, sometimes, patients in need of immediate medical care lose their lives due to lack of funds.
Visit A Hospital Today is a non-profit organization relieving low-income patients and their families of the financial burden that comes with illnesses and health challenges.
Once a month, we crowdsource materials and money to pay hospital bills and other medical needs for patients in hospitals and medical institutions in Nigeria.
Our team of volunteers work closely to ensure that 100% of the funds we raise go into relieving the mental and financial strain of medical bills on low-income Nigerians. The administrative volunteers also ensure that all funds are accounted for, then provide public financial reports for all stakeholders to see.
We focus our work on Government and public hospitals in Nigeria, where our target beneficiaries are most likely to seek treatment. Since 2016, the team has paid 65 hospital bills and visited [xxx] hospitals. We also have a growing team of volunteers from around Nigeria and beyond.

We will present this list to you as given to us by the nominated hospital’s (of the month) social worker.
Payments will be backed up by our financial reports, and receipt from the hospital and an acknowledgement from Visit a Hospital Today foundation.
